About Clever Badges
Giving more time to teach and learn
Clever Badges is our fast, secure way for students to sign in to applications and devices—no typing necessary. Even the youngest of learners can start their lessons immediately and without help from a simple scan by holding their Badge up to their device webcam. And Badges replace less secure practices like sharing or posting passwords.

Why did I receive these Badges?
You or your school leader requested Clever Badges for your classroom. Clever Badges is a fast, secure way for your students to sign in to digital resources—no typing necessary.
This personalized set of Badges for your classroom will help students save time logging in to their learning applications. Students can use their Badges to log in at clever.com/badges, or if you know your district-specific URL (example: clever.com/in/cleverUSD), Badges will work there as well.
Once your student is on the login page, all they have to do is scan their Badge and click an app—and they’ll immediately be signed in to that learning resource! Your district should already have resources for them to use in their Clever Portal.
How do I log in to Clever?
Visit clever.com/login and sign in with your credentials. Many districts set up Clever with the same credentials you use to access your computer, such as Google or Active Directory.

How can I get Badges for new students or other classes?
Log in at clever.com/login. To download a Badge for a new student, search for the student’s name in the search bar at the top of the page and click on their name. You’ll see a window with the student’s information and there can print the student’s Badge.
To download a set of Badges for a class, click the Classes tab at the top of the page. From there, select the class you’d like to print Badges for and click "Download class set of Badges" in the top right corner.

I already have Badges for my classroom. What do I do with my new Badges?
When you activate your new set of Badges, any existing ones will be invalidated. Make sure you use only your new Badges going forward.

We’re glad you were so excited about your Clever Badges that you shared them online! If you’ve covered the QR code with a piece of paper, an emoji, or a sticker, your student’s data is safe.
If the QR code is visible, void the student’s Badge and replace it with a new one. When the QR code is visible, someone could use that photo to access the student’s account.

There is no cost for schools to use Clever—or Clever Badges! We provided pre-printed Badges for free, as just a little something to say thanks for using Clever.
If you need additional or replacement Badges, you can print them from your teacher portal at any time.
